Two plates

Warm-up:
3x5 situps/pushups/squats/pullups
dynamic squat stretching

5x3 low-bar back squat (5x95, 5x135, 3x185, 1x205 then 5x3x225)
5-5-3-2 bench press (95, 115, 135, 155)
3x5 shoulder press (5x45, 5x65, 3x75, 1x85 then 3x5x90 [f3.5])

5 KTE
10 standing plate twist (45)
15 plank walkups

It's only 5 lbs more than 220, but 2 plates always feels like a big psychological hurdle to clear. Even though I'm hitting 3 rep sets rather than 5, felt good to get it up. Focused on an active contraction of my lower back, feels like it keeps thing more rigid coming out of the whole, hopefully without adding too much extension at the bottom. Some sets felt solid, others close to stalling - shoot for 230 next.

My pushing strength is still lagging, but not much to be done about it with a few weeks off coming up (Belize!). Bailed on the bench today, and failed on the last rep of the last set of presses @90. Will likely roll down the press weights and start back over at a lighter weight (65 or so) in a few weeks.

Nice! Two plates does feel good. I'm hoping to hit that within a few weeks.
