Met up with the Professor for some climbing at TRC. Got there right at opening, and the place was empty (likely due to the snowstorm the night before). We took our time warming up cause the place was frigidly cold except for a weird layer of hot air about 35 feet up. We started with an easy 8 (green) and then two fairly pumpy 9s. The next 10 (white) was pretty stiff, with the crux involving transitioning from an off fin-shaped hold to a sequence of three pretty crappy holds before clipping (if I recall correctly, G got Lady Gaga to climb to and I got Broken Social Scene). Guillaume went after a long 11 (orange) recommended to Kenway by Ms Pssst last time. A couple of hangs, but I think the time in the Hot Zone spurred him to the finish. I climbed a 10 on the same face (black), which was hard but fun, involving some oddly angled arete climbing. G finished his day boldly on a crazy 12 (yellow?). Sustained negative climbing for the first half, where he took a few huge falls, and then some vertical stuff to finish (my belaying skills are still intact!) I finished up with a technical 10 (yellow) that cooked my forearms.

Good to get back to roped climbing. As much as I'd like to believe Meghan, who said that the routesetters have intentionally stiffened the grading, I'm pretty sure we're just a bit rusty from lack of leading. Hopefully we'll remedy that before we hit the ice!
