Chilly willy nilly

Finally, a climbing session! Went to BKB in the freezing cold with Brett to squeeze in a last bit of climbing before the holidays. It's been a while since I've gone, and a lot of new routes and problems have gone up. Spent the first half working various problems, managed to onsight a cool V4 (weird left hand reach over your head to sidepull transition and hand-foot match heelhook) and beat my head against a few V6-9 problems, including a slopery overhanging V8 that Brett had dialed.

Roped up for a few leads too, starting with a roofy 5.12. Couldn't get past the fourth bolt, kept peeling off trying to clip past a lip while laid out horizontally below it - think the answer was to skip the clip there and gun for a jug another 4 feet above (big move), but I didn't have the strength or the guts. Brett worked it relentlessly, and took a couple of nice big whippers (good practice for soft catches). Managed to onsight a fun roofy 10+ at the end, though.

Dude, sorry I didn't make it. Fell asleep on the couch!

No worries, I figured you were otherwise occupied. It was kind of a long trek for a frigid night. Good new problems up, but the place was crowded as ever...
