Solo boulder

Couldn't make it out of work to meet up with everyone else at BKB, so I stopped by MPHC for a quick bit of bouldering. Not too crowded, which I guess isn't too surprising considering BKB is packed these days. Warmed up on V0,V1,V2,V2+,V3- and climbed three V3s that seemed quite easy. Then got stuck on a V3 (red) with an awkward finish move from a sloper and a V3+ (black) with a tough move early involving a pretty high step from a dish. Managed one V4 (green), which consisted primarily of a tricky start, and spent the rest of the night working on another V4 (blue/yellow) with no feet at a crucial place and V4+ (black striped) that had you sticking by fingerpads only for the first 4-5 moves. Fun problems, but I couldn't quite get the last couple of moves.

I was having a good time until chatting with some guy who asked me how long I'd been climbing. I said, 'Around two years, How bout you?', to which he replied, 'Since June'. He was working on the V4s with me. Shit.

To which I would have replied "around 8 years", then I would have curled up on the ground and cried...
