New Distance

Distance: 14 miles
Pace: 8:21 min/mi
Elevation Gain: 770 feet

First time in my life running that long. It started difficult, and finished difficult. From the onset I felt like my legs were filled with lead. I am guessing this is in part a result of gardening the day before (especially removing grass). The finish, which involved about 250 feet of elevation on 2 miles almost did me in (my heart rate climbed to 177 bpm). In the end, very happy I pushed through.

P.S. Kenway has been training regularly as well. He has been increasing both speed and distance at an amazing rate.

Nice job G! You have been killing it, I sense a PR by a wide margin at the BK Half.

For me, I'm just trying to put some miles in so I can finish the race (and revising target time as I go). A reasonable target is a 10:00 pace for me (~2:11) - sub 2 hr possible but not likely (9:09 pace).

I'll try and post more regularly on the blog too...

Maybe you can aim for sub 2:10, something not to easy but not to hard either.

My goal is to cut my previous time by 3 minutes.
