Stony Run

Went running for the first time in the US since I came back from Germany. Severine and I were at a conference in Stony Brook. We braved the heat and humidity to go for a pre-session run. We ran for 5 miles at a 9:30 min/mi pace. I was about to pass out at 5 miles which is why we stopped. By the time we got back to the hotel, I was sweating so much it took me 45 minutes to cool down. S on the other hand, was cool as a cucumber, barely breaking a sweat; and I was very thankful that she did all the talking during the run because I could barely breathe, much less talk.

This was a clear reminder that I have a long way to go to get better at running.
