Manic Monday morning
Warm-up:
dynamic squat stretching
3x5 low-bar back squat (5x45, 5x95, 3x135, 1x185 then 3x5x200)
3x5 bench press (5x45, 5x95, 3x115, 1x135 then 3x5x140)
Quick lifting session this morning, running a little late on a rainy Monday morning. BS felt good, still working on being consistent with mechanics each lift as the weight goes up. Getting the shoulders and arms up high and tight to form a stable platform helping a lot. No stalling yet but starting to feel heavy - go to 205 next time. Bench still steady with no real shoulder issues yet. Close to stalling, will have to switch to either using a spotter or benching in a rack soon, to 145 next session.
Pretty tired from an active weekend (running, intervals, climbing). Starting scuba classes this week, will lay off the morning workouts on pool session days to minimize any potential complications.
