Can NYC fit into BKB?
That seemed to be the experience that was being tested yesterday. I don't think I have ever seen a gym that packed except at a comp. Jess, Kenway, and I nonetheless managed to get some fun climbing done.
We started in the back, in the section right before the beast. We worked aV1+, V2, V3, and a V3+. Kenway was doing better than me, and Jess was climbing strong. The V3 (blue) required to skip a piece, something that took a few tries for Jess to do, but as soon as Kenway looked away, she nailed it. The V3+ (white seemed easy for K, but it took many quite a few tries.
We then moved to the section right beside. Jess worked on the very popular red V3 where you do a single leg squat high up. Kenway and I worked a V4 (black) that too us way too many tries and beta from a girl to do. Once we did it, it was actually not that hard.
We moved back to the front in the cave section. Kenway and I did a V4 (with beta) while Jess worked a 3.
We followed this by a few rounds of hangboard and headed home. Not bad.

G, I know you felt like you weren't climbing well, but it should be noted you flashed that last 4 while I couldn't even get halfway. Still have a problem with my tips burning out by the end of the night.
It's coming back though, albeit slowly...
I can hear Joana and Brian making a joke in the back of the van about your tip burning by the end of the night.
That's the little voice in the back of your head, it just sounds like Joana and Brian.
Liking the hangboard work, btw, was thinking of getting the sloper-iffic Kehl one for home. Pricey, though.
Yes! Me like it. Although I find it even nicer when combined with another crimp specific hangboard.
Not enough crimps in the middle of this one for you?
But the other one has more variety in the types of crimps.
Crimp connoisseur...
