Students keep you young... or kill you

I am at a conference in Tucson AZ, Emanuel and I decided to skip the last presentations to go and exercise. We first went to the gym. There we did some benchpress with dumbbells and leg lifts, but we quickly decided to leave as it was rather limited and decided to go for a run. We were running at a slow pace and after about 20 min decided it would be cool to reach the foot of the mountain close to the resort where we are staying. This goal (and the fact that I didn't want to be the one quitting) kept me going. It was slowly uphill to get there, and then thankfully downhill on the way back. We ran for 1 hour and 25 minutes. I don't think I have ever run more than 40 minutes before today. Ouch.

Somehow I imagine you as pictured here

Not quite... so tonight after a few beers, they decided to kill me for sure. First, they challenged me to climb a palm tree, which I did, to about 20 feet. Then they challenged me to climb a wall, which I couldn't quite pull off. Finally, three of them got together to throw me into the pool, which they did successfully on the second attempt, but I managed to pull two of them in with me.

Oh, and here I thought "conference" meant something related to work ...

I'm just jealous G's somewhere warm enough to get chucked into the pool.

This place is not bad, I just went for a 2 hours hike in a small canyon: not bad for a conference...
