Kenway and I went to the gym together for the first time in a while. We initially were going to squat but the squat rack was taken (naturally) and we opted for some deads instead. I'm still working my weight up for these. Technically, my legs can lift more weight but I'm trying to get my upper body conditioned to hold it. I don't need any more surgeries that result from a poor grip. Kenway's getting that weight up nicely. He's recent lifting is certainly paying off.
Afterward, the rack was open so we did some mild form OHS work. The first rounds were more difficult than the last as our bodies remembered how the whole process was supposed to work. Finished up with a (not so) surprisingly taxing C&J ladder.
Interesting note: today was the first time I've opened a callus while exercising. I'm pretty sure it was the bar pushing my thumbnail into my palm while deadlifting with a hook grip.

yah, managed to strain my back pulling those deads. felt nice and strong going up, though, just reaggravated an old muscle strain.
