Warm-up:
1000 m row (2:00 pace, some technique drills)
dynamic squat stretching
low-bar back squat (45x5x2, 95x5, 135x3, 185x2 then 230x5x3)
shoulder press (45x5x2, 65x3, 85x2 then 95x5x3)
Another day of squats/presses, wanted to keep tomorrow free for Oly lifting and other shenanigans in Brooklyn. When I was racking up the bar, couldn't remember today's target weight but guessed right. Squats felt heavy but solid, though the 5th reps in all worksets were very close to stalling. Really focused on locking my gaze down and driving off the heels. Up 5 next time.
Presses felt better, though always real heavy - went off a rack instead of cleaning it, which may have helped. Really locked down the core and held my breath through each rep. Clear sticking point about 2/3 the way up. Will try going up 5 next session.
Brian mentioned the other day how it's obvious when someone is doing a starting strength type program, which is exactly what I saw today: squats, then presses, then DLs with ramping warmup weights and plenty of rest between worksets. Dude was putting up pretty solid weight (250 squat, 135 press, ~300 DL)...

Nice job staying consistent! You'll have to show me the technique drills tomorrow.
