Early bird gets the rack
Warm-up:
dynamic squat stretching
3x5 low-bar back squat (5x95, 5x135, 3x185, 1x205 then 3x5x210)
3x5 bench press (5x65, 5x95, 3x115, 1x125 then 3x5x135)
2 rounds of:
10 kb swings (1.5 pood)
10 standing plate twist (45#)
Coles recently rolled back their morning opening to 6:30, and I finally managed to get in before 7 today. So much more peaceful and quiet.
Squats felt solid, a little slowing on the last rep of sets 2-3 but no real pausing. Focused on strong shoulders coming out of the rack and an active back coming out of the bottom. Bench decent with the more narrow grip I've been trying out (tips of thumbs inside the knurling).
Sweaty as I was, thought I might accidentally let the kettlebell fly into the mirror - that thing is heavy...

I almost always try and go to the gym in the morning. It is so much better it blows my mind.
Wait, I missed that before. They have kettlebells at Coles too? Jealous...
Yeah, don't be too jealous - kbs are nice, but still have only 2 squat racks, no oly space or bumper plates, limited running space, and no quick access to rowing machines or treadmills from the weightroom.
Still, at least it's close by and I can squat...
