Better than you fools
At least, that's what I thought I heard coming from Jess' mouth after she polished off a tricky V3+ (white, crossover moves on small crimps, powerful layback up an arete) and V4 (black, long pulls on small crimps to finish). I'm pretty sure she said "better than usual", but it would have been appropriate either way.
Meant to do some leading at TRC, but a late start and snowy roads changed our plans to BKB, which was mercifully less crowded tonight. Started quickly (V0, V2 with large pinches and slopers - good warmup) and headed to V3s and V4s. G was pulling off V4 left and right, but I'm not quite there yet. Spent a while on the beast roof in the back, working a long V5: traverse on a vertical wall to thoughtful roof moves to a tricky crossover transition back to vertical and a final push to the top via long pulls on small holds. Kept missing the finishing slap to the top, couldn't figure out the final body position for the last move. A similar V3 (minus the traverse start) with a long move getting out from under the roof served as a consolation prize.
Finished up with poutine at the local watering hole, Sheep Station. Big thanks to G for driving on a messy weather night.

You looked much better than I did on that V5.
For the record, poutine's with fries of the shape in this picture are on average not as good as poutine's with regular fries.
Point well noted. And pic changed to reflect your poutine sensibilities.
Holy crap, this is the best picture in the history of pictures! Love it.
