The Black Mamba

Tonight David, Konrad and I went to BKB. It was Konrad's first time bouldering. He quickly discovered (to hos surprise) that fingers give out first when you start climbing. He worked a bunch of V0s in the back, the front, and the steep room.

David was intent on breaking the V2 barrier, and although he got closer, he couldn't seal the deal. He worked a bunch of V0s and V1s.

I started in the back with 0, 1, 2, 3, 3, and onsighted a nice 4. Then I went for the Black Mamba, a black V5 in the beast section that involves a series of 3 pockets (2 fingers each), and I sent it. I think I have worked it on and off for the last month. I barely grabbed the rail but magically managed to hold on. The I sent two or three 4s, one in the steep section, and the others in the front.

Nice job G.

Though I find it mildly disturbing that you have been obsessed with the black mamba of the beast for so long...
