Finally another O-lifting session. I have gone maybe once every other week for the last couple of months, and finally have the will to bump up the frequency again. Everything is quite depressing now, I'm maxing out around 165#, and 145# feels like work. Part of it is technique for sure, but leg strength is way down. Either way, the workouts are pretty simple. Lift singles to a weight I am not making, and drop some weight. If I feel good, I try to move back up, but sometimes I just stay at the lesser weight for a few more reps.
I squatted yesterday, 5x5 at 195# (high-bar). Unfortunately, during the week, I only have access to a smith machine. Oh well, better than nothing.
Monday and Wednesday of this week, I did some briefer workouts at home. EDT-style workouts. On Monday, I paired pullups (5 reps on rock rings) and pushups (5 reps on rings), and managed 50 reps of each. On Tuesday, I paired L-sits (5 sec on rings) and swings (5 reps 50# KB), and accumulated 75 sec of L-sit and 75 swings. Not a bad protocol to get work done in short time. Just setting some benchmarks.
Hope to be back regularly. Now just to get back to climbing...
