Overreaching

Warm-up:
extensive foam roller SMR
Burgener warm-up

3x3 shoulder press (45x5, 65x5, 85x3, 95x1 then 105/110/115 x3)

Kept it short today, mostly went in to try and loosen up my sore lower back from deads yesterday. Dialed down presses to 3 rep sets since I'm starting to stall with x5. Probably should have waited a day or two given the OHS metcon yesterday - presses were far harder than they should have been, almost stalled out the last rep of the last set. Aim for 4x3 105/110/115/120 next session (and plenty of rest!).

CFSB week 5 log:

  • back squat - 235, 240, 245
  • bench press - 150, 155, 160 (x3)
  • deadlift - 335, 345, 355[f2] (x3)
  • shoulder press - 105, 110, 115 (x3)
Tough week, went too heavy on the deads. Dialed down bench and shoulder press to 3 rep sets since I'm stalling out. Back squats getting heavier too. Will back off on DL weights.

Did you buy a foam roller?

A while ago, it's a good buy to have around the house. I also use the ones at Coles, though...
