Tabata sprints
So I finally caved and got my own Gymboss Interval Timer. Naturally the first thing I'd want to do with it was Tabata Sprints...
run 1000m
3 rounds of
5 L-pullups
15 squats
Tabata Sprints: covered 7/12 of a mile
5x3 overhead press: (45) 95, 4x105
In case you don't remember the first time we did Tabata sprints, I had to collapse for a solid 30 minutes afterwards to get my breathing and heartrate under control. Thankfully that was not the case this time, though it was still a pretty brutal feeling. I noticed that Tabata bike makes my legs burn waay more than the Tabata sprints, but the Tabata sprints destroy my breathing in a unique and terrible way.
I considered doing squats afterwards, but felt overhead presses were the wiser choice.

Got your last session in at the gym before it closes, eh?
There is a reason in all the time since that I have never done Tabata sprints again.
I know, ouch, right?
Yeah, they weren't so pleasant. That's the same reason I haven't done the 500m walking lunges either.
