Monday Motivation
Warm-up:
dynamic squat stretching
3x5 low-bar back squat (45x5, 95x5, 135x3, 185x2 then 3x225)
3x5 shoulder press (45x5, 65x5, 75x3, 85x2 then 3x95)
2 rounds:
10 plank walk-ups
10 box jumps (24")
Really didn't feel like lifting this morning, not enough sleep and poor nutrition over the weekend left me feeling pretty wiped. Nice thing about a schedule, though, is there's no room for thinking of something else to do. The lifts went up easier than I thought they would, warmup squats felt heavy but reps @ 225 went up nice and solidly - some slowing on the 5th rep across the board, but shoot for 230 next session.
Press is starting to hit a ceiling, got up 95 with significant slowing on the last few reps of each set. Will go to 100 next time, but may have to reset soon. Plan on pushing the linear progression until I hit some reasonable ceilings (squats and DLs primarily), then rolling over into a more balanced program (ie. more metcons).

Nice work on the squats. Where's your sticking point on the press?
Sticking about halfway, near the chin. Not sure why presses give me so much trouble, could be a technique issue or could be old rotator cuff issues.
The only thing I can think to change about my mechanics is possibly switching to a wider grip. I notice that my press grip is definitely narrower than my bench grip.
