Warm-up:
10 minutes treadwall, vertical (5 for me because I was late)

5 rounds of:
20 burpees
1 min treadwall (max overhang)
max reps steep wall lock-offs

Added another exercise to Guillaume's bastard invention to even out the balance between cardio and climbing endurance. The lock-offs are done on a steep wall, pulling in tight and locking off one arm to reach high with the other hand and hold for 2 secs; immediately drop and repeat with the other arm, etc. Good explanation from Eric Horst on the Nicros training site. Pretty tough, we were only holding 4-6 reps by the end.

Man, that thing nearly killed me, I am not sure I made any sense in the following 2 hours of teaching.

I am writing this from Calgary. I met the guy I will be climbing with tomorrow. Everyone I met today told me to be careful, that they couldn't believe I was going with him... the guy has actually been charged by Grizzly bears 3 times! I might have made a mistake when I told him I was ready for an adventure, because this was followed by him emailing 2 guys who are joining us tomorrow after which the program changed completely to go some place which is apparently almost unreachable by car.

I hope to post something about it tomorrow night.
