Back to Bikram
After a solid three days of returning to aikido from my past, I decided to revisit Bikram Yoga in Montreal on my last day. I have practiced at the Bikram Yoga Montreal studio near Lionel-Groulx before so I decided to check out their sister studio, Bikram Yoga Plateau which is owned by the same couple. I felt quite solid for someone who hadn't practiced in (maybe) eight months since I went while doing knee rehab. But I also managed to pick the hot side of the room--less circulation--and I did get slammed by the time we got to the floor. I only missed a few moments of two poses but I did have to back off towards the end. It felt good and I think it would be a really good thing to bring back into my training mix. I just wish it weren't so expensive. Interestingly I notes while clothes shopping that my left shoulder is slightly smaller than my right and there is an asymmetry in my shoulder position. Something that I was aware off in the yoga practice. I suppose I need to do some serious lateralized balancing on both left leg and arm. And more yoga and core work for my posture.
