Sore fingers
Fun climbing session at the MPHC with Brett, Deep, Eric, Kenway and Scott. Thanks to Brett for the free passes (otherwise it would have been expensive!). Kenway and Brett spent some time lead climbing (the lead section is all roof, looked very tiring) while the rest of us top roped. The gym is small, but there were plenty of stiff routes. It was great to try out a new place if only for different route setters. Things at MPHC seemed more crimpy and balancy, perhaps to make up for the short walls. As a consequence, my fingers tended to give out before my forearms. Got to climb several nice 5.10s and 5.10+s, and spent some time on a fresh route that the setter kept asking me to climb (a very stiff 5.10, more likely 5.11, which explains why I didn't even get halfway up the route).
All in all, a good time at a decent gym with very friendly staff; I'd go back if I had some more free passes!
