Warm-up:
overhead squat

back squat (to doubles at 200#)

3x(1+1) power snatch + snatch (65,2x75)
3x(1+1+1) clean + push jerk + split jerk (3x95)

Ring work:
assisted muscle ups
ring pushups

Skipped the metcon component today and opted for some ring work (thanks for loaning these Kenway!). I have to admit I fully expected to bust out a muscle up. Almost laughed out loud when I tried. Um, holy shit those are hard. I ended up doing some where I used my legs to help me through the transition and did the dip portion unassisted. Surprised by the degree of core and stabilizer activation during the ring pushups, it must have looked like I was having a seizure!

We tried working muscle-ups with those rings last fall on the roof of Coles, they were ridiculously difficult. Even plain ol' dips and pushups were tough on the rings, the stabilization required really works you...
