Glutes and ladders

Warm-up:
back squats
good mornings
Burgener warm-up (45#)

5x2 clean pulls (135,185,3x205)

shoulder press ladder @ 85#
1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3
back squat ladder @ 185#
1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3

Cool-down:
3x10 dumbbell swings (45#)

Light lifting day today, worked BS and shoulders to get back on track for a near-future CFT. Having taken a break from posterior chain work, the BS felt tough at what should have been a light weight; presses were smooth, will bump the weight up next time.

Not quite sure about the clean pull form, @ 205 it was hard to keep the bar moving fast...

For me, it turns out to be better to keep my clean pulls near my C&J max. I notice that if I try clean pulls at high weights, it changes the mechanics of my clean (I tend to drift forward).

That seems like a good idea, I think my mechanics are off but don't C&J regularly enough to be sure. Not even sure what my max is, since I often have balance issues before I fail from the weight.
