Seven is the new five

Crossfit WOD 022808
7 rounds for time of:
10 95# Sumo-deadlift high-pulls (subbed 85#)
10 ring dips

BL: 16:56 (1:19,1:48,2:15,2:53,3:07,2:55,2:38)

The dips destroyed me. Only managed continuous ring dips in the first few rounds; everything after that was singles.

It was someone at CrossfitNYC who pointed out that 7 is the new 5.

"seven is the new five"

well, hell. Why don't we just do those 'honest workouts' then?

8x8 anyone?

That's what I thought when I saw "Eva".

hey brian, did you try kipping ring dips?

Ya, I tried them à la OPT, but they are way harder than he made them look. The concept is the same as a kipping pull-up, but on rings engages muscles I never knew I had. I have up on them after the second round.

You back in town?

Nope, coming back on the redeye tuesday night. Might be in to climb Wed though...

Long Ding gave a talk this morning on caudate neuron activity in the motion dot task. Couple of potentially interesting findings but seems *very* preliminary right now...
