Lookin' for something to do...
workout (see 062007 and 052007)
10 rounds for time of
15 deadlifts (135#)
15 push-ups
KL: 17:40
SS: 27:09
Went to fit in a quick metcon at Coles, this fit the bill but was a grind to get through. Not a great choice for a posterior chain injury (still have swelling along my tailbone, glute still catching under any reasonable load, a 135# dl for example). Really thought about quitting at 5 rounds after gritting through the first round, but saw Scott plugging away so I kept at it.
Went fast out the gate but was brought to my knees (literally) by the pushups by the 3rd round or so; DLs broken 8-7 starting at round 5. Scott shaved a good 6 minutes off his previous time!
My rounds:
0:51 1:02 1:04 1:19 1:55 2:09 1:59 2:18 2:29 2:30
Started off faster but really could not hold on in the end, kept getting slower and did not plateau like previously.

push-ups were broken into sets of two (10-5, 8-7 and so on) until the last few rounds. DLs unbroken till set 6 where I had to start breaking them up due to grip issues. I noticed that if my grip began to fail I would feel that weird twinge in my left trap if I didn't stop immediately. I ended up splitting the last few rounds into sets of 4 (6,4,3,2)
I remember not being able to walk properly the next few days after this one.
Oddly enough my legs feel pretty good today, though my lower back is a little sore. I noticed myself using my lower back more than I should. I think half the reason is because the weight was light so I could get away with it (bad!) and the other half is because my torso has to bend down considerably just to get the bar past my knees.
I pretty much Romanian deadlifted the whole thing because it seemed to stress my strained muscle a little less. Drops the power output though...
