squats

7x3 OHS: 7x115
5x3 hibar squat: 5x155

Good day for squatting. My wrists really started to hurt around the 4th set of overheads, so I started experimenting with a closer grip. It definitely made my wrists feel better, but the weight overhead was less stable. Consequently, I totally dropped it just before starting the 7th set. I widened my grip and completed the last set fine, but I think I should start using a closer grip in general. It definitely seems better for my wrists and if I strengthen myself a little more then the stability should become less of an issue. I'll probably do a wider grip for 1 rep lifts, but for general workouts I think a closer grip is in order.

Before starting the back squats I tried a rep of low bar at 185. It went up, sloppily, but I really wanted to work on keeping my butt down and lifting with my hamstrings today. That was successful for the most part, but I would have a little butt raise on the last reps of a few sets (number 2 and 4). Not a bad workout today.
