Not twenty-five anymore

Warm-up:
dynamic squat stretching

3x5 low-bar back squat (95x5, 135x5, 185x3, 225x1 then 3x235)
3x5 shoulder press (45x5, 65x5, 85x3, 95x1 then 100/100/100[f5])

Woke up this morning really quite sore from a short game of softball yesterday. Tight in the hammies, quads, and oddly enough, the hip flexors; maybe some of it was due to playing on a concrete field, but really wasn't enough action to warrant this kind of soreness. Right shoulder pretty sore too, and I didn't even have to throw much (played 1st base, thankfully).

Took it simple today, just aimed to put up 235 on the squat and get whatever I could up on the press. Squats really felt heavy, and unsteady on the unracking, possibly due to lower back tiredness. Felt better with each set and got all reps, though was *this* close to a stall on the last rep of the last set - 240 next time. Presses still a problem, but got up more than I thought I would. Lower back unsteadiness wrecked the last rep.

Sorely (no pun intended) needed rest day tomorrow.
