Mental potential (the bitch is back)

Headed up to TRC with B and G with grand plans, but it was one of those high gravity days where nothing felt quite right. Worked stuff on the big, slightly overhung wall up front, but even my warmup (9) thwarted a clean send - missed some holds, couldn't work out the sequence for a big throw halfway through. Things didn't get any better on the crimpy project 11 (red) that Brian and Guillaume have been working, though I eventually worked out the moves on a great left-angling 10c (yellow). No endurance today. B looked good on the 11, working high up onto the steeper face above. Scary, tough clips. Didn't see much of G's climbing as he was running with Ms. Psst, who was kicking things with her usual panache, but I think I saw him hit up some 10s and 11s.

As someone mentioned, TRC is going through a positive sandbag cycle now. Fine with me, keeps the ego in check. Toyed with some hard boulder problems at the end (V2+, really?). At least the minivan made her grand return, with panache...

Mental potential clearly doesn't translate to climbing execution. Its nice of you to say you didn't see me K. But its pretty obvious, I sucked, sucked, and sucked some more.

Whatevs, man, I couldn't even start some of the things you were working. Gotta get back in shape for trad season, or it's going to be a lot of 5.4 climbing...
