Antarctic solo
One of the more batshit crazy things I have ever seen. Todd Carmichael posted some video from his 39+ day solo trek to the South Pole (record-breaking, and a first for an American). Quite amazing is the frequency with which his gear fails. Hard to imagine what guys like Amundsen and Shackleton endured 100 years ago.Parts two and three. HT to The Adventure Blog.
