The Climbing Marathon is Over
Took the train up to TRC on Monday with Joanna and Jess for a 4 hours (mostly) top rope session. I onsighted 50% of the 4 11s I tried. The 10s went well for the most part except a few, in particular the last one which I had the hardest time finishing. I started the session with a 9. Jess and Joanna worked on 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, and 10s. They both did very well considering their lack of practice on stuff higher than 20 feet. We finished the session with a bit of bouldering. Joanna and I worked a V2, and I followed it up with a V3. The quote of the day goes to Joanna: "Her patina of naivete is a fucking lie!"
Yesterday we went back to Coles where we were joined by J and J's friend Miquele, a TRC climber, Shilpa, Will who was working, and two other guys. I worked on some reds with little progress on the new one. On the other hand, I tried an older red that I might be capable of finishing as I can do all the parts separately. The J's and Shilpa worked some whites, including a new one with a SCARY finish. Miquele worked the red that goes around the arete to a pocket.
