Metro Rock'n the Holidays
Sam and I put in a solid but short climbing session at Metro Rock this day before the day before christmas. We warmed up on a couple of easy climbs and then stuck to 10s for the rest of the session. Sam was looking very strong—he has recovered fully from his broken arm. Most of the climb required some good balancing moves and using small crimps to keep you balanced as you extend to the next good hold. I mostly kept up but, perhaps because of the leading Sunday, my grip kept giving out early. I definitely found some good problems to work on if I make it back while I'm up here. Interestingly, we each found different bits of each climb harder (or at least harder to see the right sequence) and so often we were able to help the other when stuck. We ended working on a V3+ that Sam had been tackling last time he was climbing, but determined that we couldn't grip anything and called it a day. I'm going to have to work on building (grip) strength in a more organized way next year...
