Sort of back-off
Warm-up:
0.5 mi run to gym
back squat (triples to 185#)
3x3 back squat (235)
3x3 shoulder press (105)
2-2-2-2-1 deadlift (hook grip; 315,335,365,375,385)
1 mi run (treadmill, incline=1.5, 9 min)
Trying to take it easy before the 5k on Friday (still pretty congested). Squats and presses felt fine. Starting to feel really comfortable with the hook grip on the deadlift. Very happy with 385#, which I had previously failed to pull with a mixed grip. Twas heavy, and I'm not sure I could lock out much more even with straps, maybe 10 more pounds. However, I'm confident I will have 405# by the end of November.
Weighed in at 142# today; must eat more (and this was after death by Momofuku last night, sheesh).
Saw a gang of people doing today's Crossfit WOD, which was cool, but even cooler was the guy box squatting 225# with bands (they must have been some crazy bands cause I seen him box squat 405# before).

Nice job! You're now DLing more than me, Brian, and at a substantially lighter weight (though maybe not so different after your David Chang fiesta last night).
Well done B.
I will start to think I should do deadlifts as well! Maybe that's the reason you climb so well.
If I could only do one lift, it would be the deadlift.
Sadly though, there is very little transfer to climbing.
Currently the only lifts I do are those that involve food going from my plate to my mouth.
I'm fairly certain that doesn't transfer to climbing either...
Great, just what I need - a WOD with freakin' more burpees...
