Damn Knee

Haven't done any gym work worth mentioning for awhile. My knee has been really killing me the last few weeks; anytime I drop to just above parallel there's an awful pain inside my right knee. It's been about two weeks already, and if it doesn't get better in another week I might consider getting it scanned or something. Maybe the problem is that I'm not working it though. I've signed up for some basketball tonight so we'll see if that mitigates or exacerbates my problem.

I thought you got it scanned at some point?

And I hate to tell ya, but basketball surely isn't gonna make anything better!

Scottle, I have to agree with Brian - if there's something wrong with your knee, basketball is not the way to find out.

There could be a number of soft tissue things that an MR could shed light on, though...

Surprisingly, basketball was great! My knee didn't have to bend to parallel ever, so there was no problem at all :)

My feet are pretty torn up though. I didn't realize my shoes were so poor for playing basketball. I literally sloughed off my entire pad on my left big toe; it staying on via a few sparse connections the the rest of the toe. It's pretty awesome looking, but it doesn't feel so great.

So, I expect to be going back to the gym to do some upper stuff, and maybe working sprints or the rowing machines to keep my leg strength up. Unfortunately, it does seem like squats, deads, and all the Oly lifts are going to be out for me for awhile.
