Texas, week 9, intensity
Warm-up:
back squat (to doubles at 205#)
3x2 back squat (235,245,250)
3x1 bench press (160,2x165)
Cut the session short cause I had to make it to the grocery store to buy dinner. First time trying squats for heavy doubles. 250# is about 92% of my 1RM (~270#). Based on Brzycki's formula (calculator here), I should be near 257# for doubles. I guess I've always had shitty strength-endurance, so perhaps the mismatch shouldn't surprise me. Happy with the bench, should have tried another 5# for the last rep.
Finished the session with some big fat pullups and frenchies.
Coming down with a cold or something, may have to take the next couple of days easy.
