Back to work: Texas, week 1, volume
4x5 back squat (185) - failed rep 4, 4th set
Been a long time since I've lifted, and am trying to get back on track. I like the idea of the Texas Method, especially the set schedule and progress checks. Doesn't hurt that Brian's been getting excellent results.
Technique definitely felt rusty, probably jumped back in with too heavy a load. Left knee was tracking out during the squats, and my adductors are feeling it now. Some forward lean as I got tired too.

Welcome back!
Yeah, I'm happy about it but man by legs are not...
Working out in the morning is going to take a little getting used to again.
WRT to starting weights, it's better to start conservatively with a lower weight. Gives you some room to improve, and some time to adjust to the volume. And you can make bigger jumps once things start feeling too easy.
You know the sad thing is, I thought I was starting light.
Bah...
