Jiu Jitsu Anyone?

Because I think it might of interest to some of you, I'm posting an announcement from my aikido dojo below. It is an invitation to a Jiu Jitsu seminar from one of the senior aikido students (and head instructor under Sensei) in the dojo. He is also 7th Dan in Jiu Jitsu which makes him... a really nice guy. ;-) (Really, he is. And a good.) I was hopping to attend, but I'm going to be out of town. If any of you are interested it would be a nice way to get a taste of a martial art. The mat fee is very small and it goes to a good cause.

Shin-Budo Kai NY is pleased to announce that our new President, Mike Paradiso, will be conducting a Jiu Jitsu seminar on Sunday the 29th.

As most of you may be aware, Mike is not only a 4th Dan in Aikido but also a 7th Dan in Jiu Jitsu, and the effectiveness of his techniques as well as his friendly teaching style are well know among the NY students. He has generously agreed to share some of his knowledge. The details are as below.

Date: Sunday June 29th
Time: Session 1: 10:00am to 12:00 noon
Session 2: 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Cost: $30 per session; $50 for both sessions (Note: The money will be donated to support Shin-Budo Kai)
