Hot, humid and hanging = hamburger hands

Warm-up:
Who the hell needed to warm-up? It was 97 degrees F with a humidity around 70%

Workout:
CF WOD 080608
10 rounds for time of:
12 burpees
12 pullups

KL: 25:43 (1:00, 1:37, 2:02, 2:45, 2:36, 2:43, 3:18, 3:16, 3:19, 3:03)
ED: 40:30 ([1:50 2:09 3:50]?, 4:12, 4:20, 5:36, 6:03, 7:11, 5:52, ? --may have dropped a round?

Wow, this was deceptively miserable. Done outside on the roof of Coles, which was uniformly a terrible idea. The high heat index (~105) made it really tough to cool off, and the humidity and sweating turned the pull-ups into a hamburger hand-fest. Everything after the first set was broken up, mostly in sets of 6 or 4. Think we could have pushed harder for a better time, but taking it measured was the wise thing to do.

An early prediction of 12-15 minutes was clearly way off base...

I will say that my goal of doing a met-con was clearly met. It wasn't even that hot by the time we got to the roof, but the humidity meant that you couldn't sweat to cool down. Interestingly, the burpees were much worse that the pull ups for me--if you don't count the torn up hands. we should bring some tape up to the roof and make some better grips...

hmmm.... maybe I'll do this one today. Nothing like a good met-con to purge the last vestiges of illness!
