Light gravity day

Short and intense blitzkrieg through some harder routes with Guillaume at New Rochelle today, working only 3 or 4 climbs. Felt stronger than last week, perhaps benefitting from a few days off metcon and lifting workouts. After watching Guillaume style it, managed to send the tricky 10d (purple) arrete/roof route; also (finally) linked up the layback 12 up front. Body positioning needs work...

Maybe overtraining is real?

Nice work on the 5.12, the bottom was looking pretty smooth for you last week.

Did Guillaume flash the 10d?

Yup, onsight flash in style... The way he did the top was just like you suggested - stay at the arete and keep your left foot smeared on the far wall. The last few holds were great this way, and you can sort of step your way up the arete.

He also worked out all the moves on the 12, and declined the little beta I had (other than, dude, it's hard).
