A little deadlifting is good for the soul...

Scott and I were in for a simple workout today. Warmed up with back squats and a round of the bar complex (50#).

10x2 Deadlifts:
ED: 2x225, 235, 245, 255, 2x265, 285, 295, 315
SS: 2x225, 235, 245, 255, 2x265, 285, 295, 300

Felt pretty good, except I did some damage to my calluses from climbing. We still need to work on form. I was having trouble dropping the bar back to the ground without rounding my back. But I think I improved the posture as we went. The guy who was power cleaning when we first did the CFT at palladium was around to make us look like wimps. He was doing power cleans into split jerks, and other craziness and then back squatted something that must have been well into the 350# range. Something to work towards.

Yeah, DLs felt great. My shoulder burned on the first 225 set, but got better as the session went on. I think it's just a question of warming it up properly

Ok, slight back soreness but not too bad. I think that is partially just working it and partially the poor form that I had on ~half the lifts. I do need to work on that. I think some 5x5 deadlifts might be in order in a few weeks to just work on form.
