Ain't No Party Like Tabata Party Cause Tabata Party Don't Stop... Hurting.

WOD 071024

"Tabata Something Else"

Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.

Score is total number of reps completed

(The parentheticals following the totals is the change from last time)

SS: 313 (+19)
pull-ups: 10,8,7,4,2,5,4,4 = 34 (-13)
push-ups: 15,13,8,7,6,5,4,4 = 62 (-2)
sit-ups: 10,13,12,12,11,11,11,11 = 91 (+9)
squats: 18,16,17,16,17,15,13,14 = 126 (+25)

ED: 342 (+6)
pull-ups: 10,9,6,6,6,6,5,6 = 54 (+10)
push-ups: 10,13,13,7,7,6,4,3 = 63 (-17)
sit-ups: 12,15,9,10,10,10,11,8 = 85 (same)
squats: 17,17,17,16,17,17,15,16 = 132 (+5)

This workout was good, only downside was there was some greek event going on in the gym (so it was packed) and since the teams couldn't use the gym floor they were all hanging in the weight room. This wouldn't have been a problem except we couldn't really acquire adjacent pull-up bars. Eric ended up using the crappy pull-up bars on the cable pull through machine, and I used the square bar next to him. Definitely hurt the total pull-up score, overall I still did better than last time, as did Eric, if you don't count the 2 extra sets he did each round last time :)

Hurt is a good word. I was feeling a little upper body blown out after yesterday, but the kipping really helped me actually do some pull-ups. All in all a good beast. It will help make up for all the drinking I've been (and will be) doing watching the Sox games...
