Warm-up:
squats (worked up to 135#)
good mornings
stretching
WOD for 082007
7x3 front squat (155,3x160,165,170,175)
1=4-1=4-1=4 shoulder press (85, from the pins set to just below my nose)
5x5 L-pullups (sloppy)
Squats felt very smooth, maybe should have added a bit more weight, but I'll let the volume do the work. Did some ladders for the shoulder press (1=4 denotes the sequence of sets 1-2-3-4) to work my sticking point.

Wow, the front squat weight is coming up nicely.
Re: the shoulder press: do you mean you did 1 rep,2 reps,3 reps,4 reps three times? Did you try a full range of motion afterwards to see if the sticking point felt different?
Yah, you got it. I forgot I had posted a nice piece by Shaf on ladders. He has been emphatic about not going to failure, but letting the volume do the work.
Didn't try the full press after. I'll give it a few rounds to see if it works.
Hey there, nice work today. Tell us how that volume feels tomorrow though.
Did you see the way the ends of the bar bounce on his shoulders?!
I don't like the way the bar bends in a lot of the front squat videos around that weight...
I still need to work on the front squat form and landing it more comfortably on my collar bone.
