ME Upper/Lower (cuz Scott's feeling itchy)

warmup:
2x barbell complex @ 45#

10x2 shoulder press
SS 8x100, 2x95
KL 2x105, 2x110, 2x115, 120(failed - 1x115), 2x115, 115 (failed last rep)
ED 105, 2x110, 2x115, 2x120, 2x125, 135

5x5 deadlift
SS 3x185, 2x195
ED 2x185, 195, 205, 225
KL 205, 2x225, 235, 245

cooldown:
pushup ladder
SS 13 (winner!)
KL 11
ED 10

We relatively raced through these today to get both workouts in. Feels like it's been a while since the deadlift, for both DL and press reference check the last CFT. The shoulder work definitely feels stronger for me, part of it is core muscle strengthening fer sure. Note for the DL: at the heavier weight I can feel the lower back stress trying to turn the bar around at the bottom - better to put it down and dead it each time. Looking back at our previous 1RMs we can likely start at a higher weight next time (I should be ending aorund 300#).

Hey Brian, we're thinking of doing a Filthy Fifty soon - like tomorrow...

I was thinking about a metcon ... can you guys do it a bit later? say 7-7:30pm?

But if Eric is coming, F50 might not be great (jumping too much impact)?

Either way, we'll do something more metcon today. Later is fine for me, though I'll have to stretch a little first - sore lower back from both presses and DLs...

Can't we just get you a back replacement?

Dude, another year when my Medicare kicks in, I'll get the prophylactic hip replacement as a package deal with the back

later is fine for me as well
Eric could do a Tabata this, probably

Tabata Intervals ( 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest repeated 8 times) is applied in turn to the Squat, Rower, Pullups, Sit-ups, and Push-ups with a one minute rotation break between exercises. Each exercise is scored by the weakest number of reps (calories on the rower) in each of the eight intervals. During the one minute rotation time allowed the clock is not stopped but kept running. The score is the total of the scores from the five stations.

We could finish up with some burpee breathing ladders

10 x 150 m rowing intervals was my original plan
