Texas, week 13, recovery
Warm-up:
back/front squat (triples to 155#)
3x3 front squat (200)
3x5 bench press (140)
2-2-2-1 deadlift (w/ straps, 315, 335, 345 ,355)
Now, before you call me a weakling for using straps, let me just say there is a reason for it (besides me just being weak). Well, there are two reasons actually: 1) the weights are getting heavy enough for me that lots of volume with a mixed grip, even alternating between my strong and weak grips, can be pretty uncomfortable for my shoulders, 2) I work my damned grip enough climbing. So, I plan on using straps from now on only on work sets on the volume day, max days will still be strapless. Oh, and if you go out and buy straps, make sure you don't get the cheap-ass ones (mine were $2.99), they will wreck your wrists.
