Debatable
Small crew tonight, as most people wanted to watch the Obama-McCain debate. For Guillaume and Brian, who went climbing with me instead, here's the transcript; more information can be found at fivethirtyeight.com, an awesome electoral projections website run by Nate Silver, one of the statheads behind Baseball Prospectus (shoutout to Scott for the recommendation).
As for the climbing, seems like everyone was still recovering from Sunday's Gunksfest (sad what a little bouldering and one slabby TR can do to ya). We led a crimpy, reachy 9 as a not-quite-suitable warm-up, and G and I took turns assailing the new Obe 12 (hearts on white) on the Mad Russian column; having worked out the sequence previously, the bottom felt good, but the bolts on the overhanging roof were tough - long throws out in space, strenuous clipping fer sure. Brian had his vibe totally ruined by an overly friendly climber, but attacked a 10 anyways. We closed it out on more 12ness, Guillaume on his dark green project and me on a steep and burly line under the arch (white and orange) - neither of us got very far.
Good bouldering to finish it out though, V3 and V4s on the arch, especially nice work by Brian in both finding the lines and climbing. And Guillaume did his burpees...

Thanks for the nice photo Captain Craptastic!
By far the most impressive thing was how smooth and easy K made the first 4 bolts of the 12 hearts look. Amazing!
Now, as for Men Without Hats, they are Canadian!
Oh and Brian, here's the link you wanted.
As for the band the son of Dan Usher sang in, it was Moist! There big single was Push. Man, as Brian said, that was one geriatric moment when I remembered their name...
[snicker]
Yes, Guillaume, it was indeed Moist...
[/snicker]
I'm telling you, that route is totally beta intensive, once you figure out the sequence the bottom is straightforward...
And wait, why am I Captain Craptastic? I wanted to be Captain Craptonite!
Hey Blau, since we were in your hood last night, here's the original post on the Amsterdam Ave assaults over the weekend. Looks like they made a few arrests.
Wait, I wanna hear about this 'overly friendly climber'
Thanks for the links. I wonder if 5 out of 7 victims being asian will get them to press additional hate crime charges?
Yeah, I don't know, I'm not sure what the prior is for who's walking around that time of night. Does sounds pretty targeted, though.
I want to say learn to fight back, but really, what are you going to do against seven guys?
