The stars aligned

Guillaume picked me up for a session at TRC an hour and a half after I finished an extended surgery in the lab. I didn't manage to eat the entire day (a rather unintentional fast), and thought for sure it was going to be a heavy gravity day. However, the complete lack of traffic or people at the gym (even though it was meet-up night), seemed to set things up for a good night. I warmed up on a tricky 10 on top-rope and Guillaume went straight for leading an 11 (purple) which he cruised until 2 moves before the end where he missed a move cause he was too excited with "anticipation". We continued leading where I made Guillaume nervous by having my feet cut out before clipping on both of my leads. Guillaume led two more routes, and then we top-roped. Someone had the brilliant idea of climbing two routes per rope-up and we both got a good pump doing 10+/9+ (me) and 11/10+ (G) combos set by Brett and B (we also managed to work the camo problems in there somewhere). Jealous of the guys who made it to the bouldering league yesterday, so we finished up on some of the new boulder problems, where Guillaume kept yelling "Try harder!" at me (to his credit, it worked on a nice problem!).

Cool down with some pullups:
GF: 12
BL: 17

Oh, and there was no traffic on the way home. Ended the date without a kiss though.

No kiss? I'm disappointed...

Sounds like an awesome session. Perfect postop decompression, wish I could have made it but had post-surgical issues of my own to deal with. Nice post-workout pull-up numbers...

Light gravity days are satisfying, no?

Funny thing was that I don't think either of us cleanly finished a climb in one go. But it was still awesome.
