Shodan Test Part One
After first class I watched the weapons part of a shodan exam. 45 minutes of weapons straight--and the tester was moving about as quick as you could. Some good work, some a bit shaky, but the tester had just broken his big toe and maybe stress-fractured a couple of other bones in his foot so he should be commended for following through with the test. Friday is the aikido which I may miss. We also received copies of the show they taped of the dojo, so I'll post a clip when I get my copy.

What does the 45 minutes consist of? Forms or some sort of free-form exercise?
Saw the video clip you posted last night. Looked pretty interesting, although I missed your appearance.
It's a series of solo forms followed by both required and optional paired forms. Minimum include a couple of bokken-bokken, a couple of bokken-jo, a couple of jo-jo and then you choose three that you like.
