Testing the knee with some Aikido
Decided that Kenway's instruction on how to be unwise needed testing. So I went back to Aikido for my first practice. I chose the basics class (mixed level, but they work on basic techniques so less chance of injury). I felt fine on most of the movements, falls and backrolls were good. And for having been basically out for six months I was glad to remember anything... but boy was I rusty. And I was being very cautious. My knee felt a bit funny in one move that required a bit of rotation and I was carefully with it but I don't think I did any injury. I definitely need to start working back up to full use now as I can tell that I still need to work on developing the non-linear support and probably have to stretch more (and even clean out a little scar tissue as I work back into movement's I've not been doing).
