Climbin'
Did some climbing at New Rochelle with Eric today. Tried some of the new routes and had a pretty good time. Climbed mostly 5.8s which were very difficult for me this time around for some reason. Worked on some good problems and basically climbed till total failure.
Met some people from City Climbers who say that it's still open, and will remain open on a 6 month to 6 month basis until the city finds someone who'll renovate the space for as cheap as they want. Maybe we should go there to climb on weeknights, hm?

That's great if CC is still open! I always thought they set pretty good routes there, the only drawback is the size of the space.
But it's certainly a little easier to get in and out, fer sure...
By the way, Scottle, they have *definitely* sandbagged some of the new routes, at least compared to the way the older routes were graded...
Good info on CC. I think I only climbed 2-3 of their routes that 1 time we all went. Would be fun to try out the tougher ones.
I'd be definitely up for an excursion to CC, maybe we can do it more regularly. Not sure Guillaume would give up his newfound climbing paradise, but I'll run it by him.
One thing to note: to make the relatively shorter routes more difficult, they set pretty crimpy powerful moves at CC, so warm up those fingers before you get on 'em. I remember some of the routes being pretty balancy too, which would be great practice.
