Back to back squats

5x3 back squats

KL 185, 205, 3x215
ED 185, 205, 215, 220, 225
SS 2x185, 195 (f3), 190, 185

Bouldering and toproping at Palladium ~1 hr

Squats felt heeeeavy, especially the last 2 rounds. I felt keeping my head up (and closing my eyes, actually) really helped push my chest up and shoulders back coming out of the hole.

Climbing-wise, still not really pushing our limits on toprope, mostly due to it being crowded. Getting used to the bouldering there, I'm pulling about V2 comfortably but we should all improve if we start going consistently.

Not completely, but it's squatting time again... I've got to start training up for a CFT attempt. Maybe in two months. In the mean time the bouldering and top-rop climbing is doing wonders for showing me burn in the forarm and shoulder. Definitely like the workout. But I need to stretch more as I was definitely tight on the climb today.

And Scott's limbs are just too long!

Eric made it look easy, smooth up and down.

I'm gonna put in a plug for climbing - it's a great way to work shoulders, arms, core, lats. The variety of movements keeps the stimulus changing and you can control the intensity yourself.

The nature of climbing is cyclic on and off intensity too, though it rarely pushes aerobic - unless you want to do laps on an easier route...
