Skill transfer

Tamba Hali is a defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs. He weighs in at 275 pounds; here he is smashing some poor QB:
Here's an interesting video of him training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu:
Couple of interesting things to note: Tamba weighs at least 75 pounds more than his instructor, and he learns an insane amount in 1 week.

Tamba Hali is veerry fast for a big guy, I've always wondered during grappling sparring if guys get nervous about people being slow at recognizing the tap out signal...

Tapping becomes very frantic...

I must note that in the video, most of what Hali is transferring is speed... into momentum... into that quarterback's spine.

Do you think he even felt a shred of concern after he laid that guy out?

Ah, the guy was still moving...

It didn't look like Hali even felt it when he ran into him. He's a pretty compact 275# at 6'3", I was surprised at how normal-sized he appeared in the Gracie video.

Steel for bones?

And that was with pads, check out this rugby highlight for some insane tackles without pads.
